Welcome to the first developed park in the City of Platteville, Wisconsin, Smith Park. Before this city purchased this land in 1943, it was owned by the local Methodist Episcopal Church and before that by a man named John Rountree. Today this city park boasts a large picnic area, a sandbox for the kids, a sand volleyball court, a lighted basketball court and more. The parks signs were added by the local chapter of the Eagle Scouts. Come out and have fun.
