Welcome to South Africa's beautiful Tankwa Karoo National Park, home to some of the best stargazing opportunities on the continent. This park was first established in 1986 and protects three different types of habitats, desert, grasslands, and mountains. Much of the land was once used for agricultural purposes but has seen returned to a state of nature.
