Welcome to the beautiful and unique Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge located on the Ohio River in West, Virginia. This preserve was first established in 1990 by President George Herbert Walker Bush and consists of 22 different islands. Some of the resident wildlife include red foxes, white-tailed deer, raccoons, and over 200 species of birds. Come out for some great bird-watching opportunities.
