First established in 1939, British Columbia's Wells Gray Provincial Park is named after former Minister of Lands Arthur Wellsley Gray. This vast wilderness is a variety of landscapes including volcanic peaks, glaciers, waterfalls, and forests. Some of the park's resident wildlife include grizzly bears, bobcats, wolves, mountain goats, and moose. There are several campsites in Wells Gray Provincial Park and these include both developed and undeveloped sites. The developed campground at Mahood Lake has 34 sites. There are numerous canoeing and kayaking opportunites and miles of trails waiting to be explored.
