A beautiful day on the beltline
It has certainly been a while since I last wrote up a blog post. Today I thought about going home for a nap but decided instead to go for a walk on the beltline. I did not keep an odometer on me but I must have put in at least a few miles. My first stop was to the playground where I checked out the new age play structures that they have for kids. When the moment comes to where there is a structure with no kids on it then I will snap a picture of it for the website. It is my policy that there be no pictures of children. For their own safety. Then I had to climb up to the Beltine from Ralph McGill boulevard, why the City of Atlanta did not build any stairs is beyond me.
The weather was perfect, the skies were blue and a very cool breeze made it seem like heaven. I could feel the grin on my face the entire time. I went to watch some of the guys at the skate park and I remember thinking to myself "even with helmet and pads that still looks like suicide. Unfortunately none of the guys were wearing helmets and pads. Then I chit chatted with a local artist whose name happened to sound very similar to my own, his name is Tyler Martin. Then I met an old face from High School, Alex Benigno, who I had not seen in ages. He was a senior when I was a freshman but it was a small school. After chatting with him a while I walked north for a while on the beltline before turning around and heading back towards my car. On my second stop at the playground I realized I had to try one of the high tech swings where you can lean back. I didn't want to get off. Such a gorgeous day somebody should bring Bono to town to sing.
