California's Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach is named for the state legislator who helped to make this place a protected State Park. The park's Elsie Roemer Bird Sanctuary helps make it a popular place for bird-watching. There are over two and a half miles of beaches but no lifeguards so please swim at your own risk. Windboarding is popular here and boards can be rented nearby.

To contact the office please call 510-562-PARK.
