Welcome to Ralph B. Clark Regional Park nestled at the base of the Coyote Hills in Buena Park, California.

Park History: Ralph B. Clark Regional Park boasts a rich fossil history that dates back over 10,000 years when the region was dotted with marshes, oak forests, and grassy meadows. Scientists have discovered fossils of woolly mammoths, ring-tailed cats, ground sloths, whales, bison, turtles, and prehistoric camels. From 1956-1973 the land was used as a quarry for the State Department of Transportation. Many of the materials mined here went into the construction of the Riverside and Santa Ana Freeways. It was during the mining days that the fossil beds were first discovered. In response to the public interest, Orange County purchased this land for a park in 1974. Come on out and have fun.
