Welcome to California's San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park located in Escondido not too far from the San Diego Zoo. This park was the site of a Mexican American War battle that occurred on December 6, 1846. General Stephen Kearney led the US forces and General Andres Pico led the Mexican forces and they both claimed victory.
