Dexter Park
Welcome to Los Angeles County's Dexter Park, nestled in the Angeles National Forest in Kagel Canyon, California. Once part of an old 19th century mining town, this park was named after it's last owner who generously donated it to the County in 1954, Nathaniel Dexter. After 5 years of work, the park was ready to be opened to the public on April 11, 1959 and Dexter himself dedicated the park on it's opening day. Today this park boasts horseshoe pits, a half basketball court, a community center, a picnic area with grills, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
