Welcome to Grove Shafter Park located in downtown Oakland, California just off of Interstate 580. This park has two full basketball courts and a playground. Come out and shoot some hoops and bring the kids to play on the structure.

*The following are prohibited; sharp objects, defacing public property, littering, sleeping on benches, disorderly conduct.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; organized athletic play, picnic grilling, motor vehicles.

*All dogs must be leashed.

*In order to fish on Lake Merritt one must aquire a permit.
