Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a beautiful northern California wilderness park located on the shores of Lake Whiskeytown. The high mountain peaks and lush mountain forests make the views from the lake absolutely magnificent.

Trails: There are over 70 miles of multipurpose trails at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. Hikers will enjoy the park's four waterfalls the 220 foot Whiskeytown Falls, the 138 foot Boulder Creek Falls, Brandy Creek Falls, and Lower Crystal Creek Falls. There are hiking levels for all skill levels.

Wildlife: Some of the park's wild creatures include black bears, mountain lions, foxes, and over 160 species of birds including bald eagles. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.

Aquatic Recreation: With over 36 miles of shoreline Whiskeytown Lake is open to all types of watercraft from sailboats to ski boats. There are even scuba diving opportunities. Personal watercraft however are not allowed.
