Welcome to Cape Krusentern National Monument, stretching along the shore of the Chukchi Sea north of the Arctic Circle. Along the beach ridges, archeologists have unearthed evidence of over 9,000 years of human activity and the Inupiats still use the park's resources today and a Native owned corporation known as NANA Regional Corp operates a few open pit mines in the region.

Wildlife: The preserve's tundra and wetlands help provide habitat for many wild creatures including moose, caribou, and many migratory birds. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts numerous recreational opportunities. The preserve is only accessible by aircraft and flights can be chartered in the town of Kotzebue. Come on out and have a blast!
