Welcome to Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline an oasis of wooded ravines, eucalyptus meadows, and rolling grasslands in northern Contra Costa County. Flora and Fauna: Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the park boundaries include buckeyes and oaks. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include foxes, raccoons, squirrels, mule deer, garter snakes, red-tailed hawks, golden eagles, western meadowlarks, and barn owls. Please treat their home with respect. For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts miles of multipurpose trails, beautiful scenery, and so much more. Come on out and have a blast!
