Welcome to Cheyenne Mountain State Park located in the Rocky Mountain foothills outside of Colorado Springs.

Park History: Established in 2006 Cheyenne Mountain State Park is one of the newest parks in the system and is the only state park in El Paso County. Cheyenne Mountain is the former location of NORAD. The land was purchased in 2000 with help from the Colorado State Lottery, El Paso County, Great Outdoors Colorado, the City of Colorado Springs, and other private organizations.

Wildlife: Cheyenne Mountain State Park helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including bears, mountain lions, foxes, coyotes, and many others. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts over 20 miles of trails for hikers and bikers, majestic views of Colorado Springs, 41 picnic sites, and so much more. Horses and dogs are not allowed in the park. Come on out and have a blast!
