Kashanski Nature Preserve

Waterford, Connecticut

Welcome to Kashanski Nature Preserve located on the banks of Oil Mill Brook in Waterford, Connecticut. The WLT Trust first aquired this land on May 10, 1974 when the land's previous owners John and Barbara Kashanski generously donated it making it the WLT's first aquired land. As far back as 1698 a sawmil stood nearby on the banks of the brook which would later become a grist mill in 1781 and an oil mill in 1906. Today it has returned to a state of nature as a small yet scenic beech, maple, and oak forest preserve.
