Welcome to Florida's beautiful Gasparilla Island State Park located in the Gulf of Mexico just south of Tampa Bay and north of Fort Myers. This park's most unique feature is it's historic 1890 lighthouse which was operated by the United States Coast Guard up until 1966. After two decades of just sitting there the house was renovated and reopened in 1986. Come out and relax on the beautiful beaches or fly a kite on a windy day.
