Welcome to Florida's Honeymoon Island State Park located in the Gulf of Mexico just west of the Tampa Bay area. Many people come here to see the virgin pine forest and the diversity of seashells. The island got it's name back in 1939 when it was purchased by Clinton Washburn and became a popular place for newly weds at the time.
