Golden Aster Scrub Nature Preserve

Welcome to Golden Aster Scrub Nature Preserve in Gibsonton, Florida, a suburb of Tampa. This pinewood forest and wetland preserve was first established in 1995 with a little help from the Jan K. Platt Environmental Lands Acquisition and Protection Program and has a 3 mile loop hiking trail and helps protect the home of many wild animals including raccoons, turtles, squirrels, and rare species such as the Florida goldenaster and Florida Scrub Jay. Come out and explore.
