Welcome to Jacksonville's Charles Reese Memorial Park, first established in 1974 as Washington Heights Park. In 1987 his riverside urban park was re-named for an active member of the Washington Heights Community, Charles Reese, who had died the previous year. Also in 1987 after three months and $50K of hard work, the park received numerous new facilities and in 2001 the City of Jacksonville received grant money to rebuilt the park's boat ramp. Today this park has much to offer for the residents and visitors of Jacksonville. Come on out and have fun!
