Welcome to Jacksonville's Emmett Reed Park, first established on September 28, 1969 after it's previous owners Mr. and Mrs. E.J. L'Engle generously donated this land to the City of Jacksonville. The city decided to name the park for a man who served on the Recreation Department for over three decades, Emmett Reed. In 2002 the City of Jacksonville and the Malivia Washington Kids Foundation worked together to build the Emmett Reed Tennis Center. Today this park boasts many opportunities for the residents and visitors of Jacksonville. The basketball and tennis courts at this facility are lighted and allow for night games. Come on out and have a blast!
