Welcome to James P. Small Park in Jacksonville, Florida. The city first purchased this land in 1932 for a price of nearly $350K. Before this land was a public park it was a Negro League Practice field. It was eventually named after James P. Small, a local teacher and coach at nearby Raines High School. The picnic area has grills so bring some meats for cooking.
