Welcome to Point Washington State Forest located on the Gulf Coast of northwest Florida in Walton County.

 

Flora and Fauna: Point Washington State Forests consists of over 10 types of natural communities including cypress swamps, wet prairies, and wet flatwoods that help protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the forest boundaries include Curtiss sandgrass, white-topped pitcher plants, and pine trees. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include gopher tortoises, white-tailed deer, flatwoods salamanders, and squirrels. Please treat their home with respect.

 

For the lover of the outdoors Point Washington State Forest boasts miles of multipurpose trails and beautiful scenery. A series of trails is under construction that will connect Point Washington State Forest to local residential communities, Grayton Beach State Park, Deer Lake State Park, and Topsail Hill State Preserve. Come on out and have a blast!
