Welcome to the beautiful Daniel Johnson Nature Preserve located in Atlanta, Georgia. This wooded preserve, located on the banks of Rock Creek and the South Fork of Peachtree Creek is nestled next to Herbert Taylor Park, another nature preserve. It is a small yet beautiful wooded oasis with grand oaks and other trees that make for a beautiful hike. This preserve helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including raccoons, squirrels, and red-tailed hawks. Please treat their home with respect. Come on out and explore!

When visiting any Atlanta pubilc park please respect the rules.
*Park hours are from 6am until 11pm daily.
*Please report all illegal activities by dialing 911.
*The following are prohibited in all Atlanta parks; ponies, horses, narcotics, boating, swimming, defacing of public property, littering, glass objects.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
*All sales, tents, canopies, and amplified sound canopies require special permit.
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas.
*Except during special events and with the proper permits, consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
Please respect these rules as well as all local, State of Georgia, and United States statutes. Come out and have fun.
