Welcome to Lionel Hampton Park located at the end of Willis Mill Road in Atlanta, Georgia not far from Westview Cemetery. This park is named for the famed Jazz Musician Lionel Hampton.
Wildlife: Lionel Hampton Park helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including squirrels, raccoons, and red-tailed hawks. Please treat their home with respect.
This wooded park boasts a paved multipurpose PATH Foundation trail that I the founder of RecPlanet discovered with my father in the Fall of 1994. It is a beautiful wooded oasis in Southwest Atlanta on the banks of Utoy Creek. Come on out and explore.

*Park hours are from 6am until 11pm daily.
*Please report all illegal activities by dialing 911.
*The following are prohibited in all Atlanta parks; ponies, horses, narcotics, boating, swimming, defacing of public property, littering, glass objects.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
*All sales, tents, canopies, and amplified sound canopies require special permit.
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas.
*Except during special events and with the proper permits, consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
Please respect these rules as well as all local, State of Georgia, and United States statutes. Come out and have fun.
