Atlanta Georgia Playgrounds
Welcome to Springdale Park located at the intersection of Ponce de Leon Avenue and Springdale Road in Atlanta, Georgia. As the owner of RecPlanet I want to tell you about my personal experience. I made this park number 10,000 in the database because it is a very special park to me. This park is very close to the house in which I was raised and ever since I was a little toddler I have had many memories in this park. At one point is boasted a great playground with slides, swingsets, and a sandbox. Sadly however the playground was demolished during the park's renovation. Some of the other past park facilities included a baseball backstop and what appeared to be an old soccer goal. Today this park still boasts towering oak trees and a walking trail. Like her sister parks on Ponce de Leon Avenue, she was also designed by the great Frederick Law Olmstead. Come on out and have fun. This park is RecPlanet place of the day every year on December 10.
