Welcome to Georgia's Fort Mountain State Park, surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest in the mountains of North Georgia not far from the Cohutta Wilderness Area. The park's forests, mountains, and streams help protect the habitat of black bears, white-tailed deer, red-tailed hawks, squirrels, raccoons, salamanders, and many others. Please treat their home with respect.
For the lover of the outdoors this beautiful park boasts some of the highest ranked multipurpose trails in Georgia, an 855 foot long wall believed to have been built by Native Americans, a stone fire tower built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, a miniature golf course, a swimming beach, over 70 campsites, and much more. Come on out and have fun!
