Welcome to Iowa's Banner Lakes at Summerset State Park located in Carlisle. What was once a strip mine for coal is now a beautiful state park that was first established in October, 2004. This park boasts multipurpose trails including access to the 12 mile Summerset Bike Trail. The picnic area has grills so bring some meats for cooking. This park is also home to Central Iowa's only trout fishery so come out and cast a line.
