Welcome to the beautiful Birdland Park, a community park located in Des Moines, Iowa on the banks of the Des Moines River. This park has boat access to the Des Moines River as well as the marvelous Birdland Marina, a picnic shelter with grills as well as heating and air conditioning, a swimming pool, the paved multipurpose Neal Smith Trail, and much more.

When visiting any park in Des Moines, Iowa please respect the rules. 

*Conducting any organized event in any city park requires that one obtain special permission from the city. 

*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly forbidden in any city park. 

*The following are all prohibited; glass objects, alcoholic beverages, littering, defacing of public property.

 *All parks open at 6 a.m. and close 30 minutes past dusk. 

*The following activities are only allowed in designated areas; picnkc grilling, boating, flying remote-controlled aircraft, golfing, swimming.
