Welcome to West Branch Forest Preserve, an oasis of flood plains, wetlands, praries and forests located in Bartlett, Illinois.  

Forest History: West Branch Forest Preserve was first established in order to help protect the surrounding communities from flooding. The reservoir located inside the preserve helps to collect and filter storm water, thereby improving overall water quality.  

Wildlife: West Branch Forest Preserve helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, hawks, and owls. Please treat their home with respect.  

For the lover of the outdoors West Branch Forest Preserve boasts two fishing lakes stocked with bass, sunfish, bluegill, crappie, and catfish, several picnic tables, a 1.6 mile multipurpose trail, and so much more. Come on out and explore!
