Welcome to Spring Creek Reservoir Forest Preserve located in Bloomingdale, Illinois. This preserve was once badly damaged by invasive species but efforts to remove these species have helped to restore the preserve to a healthy ecosystem helping protect numerous plants and animals. The Spring Creek Reservoir helps control flooding in the region by catching the floodwaters from Springbrook Creek. Some of the wild animals that live in this preserve include turtles, frogs, white-tailed deer, red-tailed hawks, and many others.

For the lover of the outdoors this preserve boasts a lake stocked with catfish, bass, sunfish, and bluegill (must have fishing license if you are over 16 years of age), a picnic shelter, a one mile trail, and so much more. Come on out and explore!
