Welcome to Chicago's Addams/Medill Park located in the Near West Side Neighborhood. Just after World War II this was a declining neighborhood where community leaders thought that a new park might be part of the solution. It is named for world famous social activist Jane Addams and not for Gomez or Fester Addams (RecPlanet Joke). Addams was a 1931 Nobel Price recipient. The open field is a great place for kite-flying on windy days.
