Archer Park

Welcome to Chicago's Archer Park located in the Archer Heights neighborhood. Both this park and the surrounding neighborhood are named for Colonel William Beatty Archer who was a 19th century abolitionist and engineer. This park was one of many to be established in order to meet the growing recreational needs of the post World War II era. During the school year the park's rec center offers many after school programs for kids and also offers day camp activities in the summer.
