Welcome to Chicago's Cragin Park. This urban park was first established in 1934 by what was then the Northwest Park District, which besides Cragin Park created a dozen others. The purchasing of land as well as construction of the park's amenities occured through the late 1920's and early 1930's. The park itself is named after the neighborhing community which was named for two brothers who moved to the region and started a metals manufacturing plant. Today Cragin Park boasts a sprayground, a playground for the kids, tennis courts, and much more. Come out and have fun.
