Welcome to Chicago's De Bow Playlot Park, a half acre urban playground located in the Avalon Park neighborhood. With assistance from the Federal Government the city first purchased this land in 1970 in an attempt to bring more recreation areas to under served neighborhoods. The park is named for Judge Russell De Bow a notable local African-American leader.
