Welcome to Drexel Playlot Park located in Chicago's West Englewood Community. The City of Chicago first acquired this land in 1975 with the help of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. It wasn't until 1998 that the site was named Drexel Park in honor of Francis M. Drexel, patriarch of a successful Philadelphia banking family.
