Welcome to Chicago's Emmerson Park located in the West Ridge neighborhood. This was one of many urban playgrounds established in 1931 in order to meet the growing recreational needs of the local community. The park was named for the Governor of Illinois at the time, Louis Emmerson. The park's community center offers many programs for kids including daycare and youth sports.
