Welcome to Gompers Park in Chicago, Illinois. This park was first established in 1926 and was designed by landscape architect Henry Stockman. Numerous improvements were made over the years and that included help from the Works Progress Administration under President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Eventually the park was named after Samuel Gompers, who was once President of the American Federation of Labor. Come out and walk the trails, play a few rounds of tennis, have fun.
