Welcoem to Gwendolyn Brooks Park in Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood. This park was first established in 1970 and for many years this park was known as Hyacinth Park but was renamed in 2004 in honor of Gwendolyn Brooks, one of the most famous poets from the Chicago region and the first African-American woman to receive a Pulitzer Prize.
