Welcome to Chicago's Hamlin Park located in the north center community. This urban park boasts numerous amenities including a baseball field named for baseball legends Ron Sonto, Ryne Sandberg, Billy Williams, and Ernie Banks. Some of the other amenities include a swimming pool, two tennis courts, a gymnasium with many fitness programs and more. Come out and have fun.

Hamlin Park has it's roots in the early 20th century when local residents with the help the Galilee Baptist Church petitioned the City of Chicago for the creation of a community park in the area. In 1909 their wish was granted and noted architect Dwight Perkins, a member of the progressive reform movement, designed the park. Hamlin Park is named after Abraham Lincoln's first Vice President, Hannibal Hamlin, who unlike Andrew Johnson, never rose to the Presidency.
