Holly Playlot Park is a popular urban playground located in Chicago's Oakland Community. The city first purchased this land in 1969 with the help of the Federal Government and over the years numerous improvements helped bring a soft surface playground, a shelter house, a sprayground, and numerous other amenities to this site. In the mid 1970's many urban parks were named for trees and when this one got it's name in 1973, it was no exception. Holly is used very often to decorate homes during the holiday season. So whether it's near Christmas time or not, come have a jolly time at Holly Park! Holly Playlot Park was RecPlanet Placeof the day on Christmas Eve 2013 and again in 2017.
