Welcome to Chicago's Houston Playground Park. This park was first established in the early 1960's in an attempt to revitalize a declining neighborhood. The park is named for Reverend Ma Houston who was severely disabled as a child and moved to Chicago as a young adult. She was a big advocate for the rights of African-Americans as well as the disabled.
