Welcome to Kedvale Park located in Chicago, Illinois in the Humbolt Park neighborhood. This park was first established in 1931 when the City of Chicago made it the goal to have at least one park within three blocks of every child in the city. It is named for the nearby street which is a combination of the words Ked (A Native American term meaning moccasin) and Vale (An old English word meaning Valley). The site started off with a playground and sandbox on opening day but over the years added basketball courts, a sprayground, and more. So whether you are a resident of the Chicago area or just visiting, come out and have fun!
