Welcome to Chicago's Ken-Well Park. After World War II ended, there was a growing demand for parks in the Chicago region. The city first identified this piece of land in the early 1950's in the developing Hermosa Neighborhood. In 1959 Ken-Well Park was finally established and named for two adjoining streets Kenosha Avenue, and Wellington Street, which was named for Arthur Wellesley, who become the first Duke of Wellington for his military achievements. Today this park boasts basketball courts, a sprayground, a soccer field and more. Come out and have fun.
