Welcome to Chicago's beautiful Loyola Park located on the shores of Lake Michigan in the East Rogers Park neighborhood not far from Loyola University.

Swimming: The sandy beach is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day. People can walk on the beach year round but they can only swim during the right season. On a windy day it is a great place to fly a kite.

This is a very active community park with all sorts of programs for kids like socialization skills for toddlers, after school programs, and day camp. Many annual festivities including those for Halloween, African-American history month, and Easter are held in this park. It has been a popular place ever since it was first established in 1917.
