Welcome to Chicago's McGuane Park located in the Bridgeport Community.

Park History: The land that is now McGuane Park was first established as a public park in 1905 as the Mark White Square. Mark White was superintendent of the South Park Commission for two decades. In 1960 the City of Chicago renamed the park in honor of John McGuane, a World War I Veteran who lived across from the park. McGuane was a very active citizen in many local organizations and even served on the parks board for a few years.

Today this park boasts 4 tennis courts, 4 baseball fields, a basketball court, and a sprayground. Come on out and have a blast!
