Welcome to Chicago's Riis Park located in the Belmont/Cragin section. This park was first established in 1916 and was named for a man that President Theodore Roosevelt once called "the ideal American," Jacob Riis, a reporter who advocated many times for the creation of more urban playgrounds.

The park's community center is very active with programs for people of all ages. Many of the adults participate in sports, ceramics, or theater. For the kids there are also sports as well as day camp.

The ten tennis courts are lighted so people can play at night.
