Welcome to Snapping Turtle Park located in Chicago, Illinois in the West Garfield Community. The animal for which this park is named is known for it's long lifespan and powerful jaws that can easily remove fingers and toes. They were once common in the swamp Chicago region but urban growth has a tendency to destroy wildlife habitat.
