Welcome to Union Park located in Chicago, Illinois. This park's history goes back to 1853 when the City negotiated with a builder to sell a piece of his land to the city for recreational purposes. Over the years many improvements were made and a man named Jens Jensen started his career by planting a beautiful garden of wildflowers. In the 20th century it was one of the first parks to be racially desegregated. Today Union Park boasts a swimming pool, two tennis courts, and much more. Come out and have fun!
