Welcome to Lake Park in Des Plaines, Illinois. As the name suggests the park is located on a lake more specifically Lake Opeka. This is a very popular place for sailing and is home to a local sailing club. The two volleyball courts are sand courts.

Des Plaines Park Rules

*The following are all prohibited; dogs, using foul language or engaging in behavior that is harmful to other users, feeding wild animals, consumption of alcoholic beverages, golfing, defacing public property.

*Motorized vehicles are prohibted on park property (Except Parking lots).

*Skateboards are prohibited on all playgrounds, pavilions, benches, and tennis courts.

Please remember that all of these laws are enforced. If you follow these laws then you are in good shape. Come on out and have fun.
