G.A.R. Park is a tiny suburban Chicago park in Elgin, Illinois that was first established in 1934 in memory of those who served in the Grand Army of the Republic in the Civil War. This park helps to protect suburban green space and has no developed facilities.

Elgin Park Ordinances
*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey 15 m.p.h. speed limit and all State of Illinois traffic laws.
*Don't be a litterbug. Please put all trash in proper containers.
*Consumption of alcoholic beverages requires special permit.
*Do not disturb any plants or animals.
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.
*All dogs must be leashed.
*All fires are restricted to picnic grills.
Please respect these ordinances as well as all local, State of Illinois, and United States statutes.
